HOW TO KEEP CURLY WIGS STAY CURLY?

    Curly hair always being fashionable and will never go out of style. But as we know, they require a little more maintenance than straight hair, so in this post, we will share with you how to keep your cute curly wigs nice.

 1. WASH YOUR CURLY WIG SPARINGLY.

    Wigs do not need to be washed as often as your own hair; however, after several weeks, dirt and oil can build up, causing your wig to lose its luster. Your curly wigs may also become stiff and hard to style. The general rule for all wigs is that they should be washed very gently in a shallow basin filled with warm water and wig shampoo. Simply swish your wig in the water without rubbing. Take it out and lay it on towels to dry. You can pat the excess water off your wig, but do not rub your wig as this may cause it to lose its curls.

 2. CUT THE ENDS OF YOUR CURLY WIG IF NECESSARY.

    Long curly wigs especially have a tendency to become frizzy and tangled. Cutting a few centimeters off the ends of your wig can help, but of course, you can only do this so many times without drastically altering the style of your wig. For short curly afro wigs, you can neglect this step because they do not need to be cut, only need to a proper comb. 

 3. USE THE PROPER COMB.

    If your wig is wavy, you may be able to use a wide-toothed comb to very gently get any tangles out, starting at the tip of the wig and working slowly upwards. Wigs with tight curls generally should not be combed at all, because this can break apart the curls. Once the curls have been separated, it can be impossible to restyle them as they were. Some wigs can be gently detangled with your fingers. (Notice: The wet and wavy wig style is not designed to be brushed or combed. Instead, simply spritz water or a gentle conditioner onto the wig for upkeep.)

 4. USE HEAT.

    Always start with the heat on the lowest setting and gradually increase the temperature if you need to. Using a curling iron to re-curl the long curly human hair wigs can help restore their original quality. 

5. DETANGLE WITH CONDITIONER

    Curly wigs are basically made to replicate natural hair, they are bound to get dry faster and detangle a lot. During the process of detangling always use water and a conditioner to help you smoothen the wig. Just like natural hair, curly wigs break and lose their curls and conditioner helps soften the curls and ease the detangling process.

6. USE LIQUID OILS

    When moisturizing curly wigs, it is not easy to penetrate through the curls while using solid oil hair products. It will either be unevenly applied or you will ruin the curls while trying to force your hands through the curls. Just like natural hair, your wig needs moisturizing to help it stay hydrated and smooth. This will prevent it from unnecessary breakage and keep the curls new and bouncy. You can also use spray bottles to help you penetrate through the curls.
